From Icon Design to Global Contracts: My Journey with James Damschroder

This post and my courage to be writing here for 5000 people
is dedicated to James Damschroder.

35 contracts, business with 30countries, clients like Microsoft, Mercedes, Upwork—none of it was possible if it was not for my client James Damschroder.

It started as an icon design contest on 99designs, and after three more contests, James asked me to come to Upwork to continue our business. I was inexperienced but followed his lead, and today I am proud to say James is still my client and the best that can be and we are in the top 3% on the Upwork platform.

There are freelancers and agencies with numbers better than mine, but there are very few who have had clients connected since 2012. He taught me so many things, gave me so many opportunities, and brought me so many challenging tasks.

A friend, philosopher, and guide for 12 years, with many more to go. This post is to thank James for taking a risk with the younger me and being a wonderful person.
