Oxygen Crisis – Trailer to the Future

The past few weeks have been one long nightmare. The oxygen crisis in India during the pandemic might just be the trailer of what the future holds for us from deforestation, pollution, and whatnot.
The country did not see this immediate surge in Covid-19 fatalities and could not meet the emergency oxygen requirement. Now, the number of cases is on the rise and the nation is struggling to provide oxygen. Funny how it took pandemic to remind us of the value of oxygen. Did we take it for granted? Imagine how much nature, or whatever is left of it, must be struggling every day to provide oxygen for the entire world. Imagine one day, there not being enough nature to provide oxygen for all the living beings.
Sorry to have taken you through that journey. But let’s not take that tree on the side of the road for granted anymore. Let’s apologize to it for not taking care of it. Let’s all plant a tree today and make sure one day we would not wake up saying “I can’t breathe, help!”
I read this quote somewhere “We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children” How wonderful would it be if we all preserved nature so tomorrow the next generation would not have to walk around carrying an oxygen cylinder. Surely demand would increase the price, fights would break out to get your oxygen cylinder filled. The rich would keep a number of cylinders in their lockers. Your child will decorate their cylinders to show off at school… Aah! We need to make sure this does not happen. We beg you, please plant a tree whenever possible.

Here are a few things we are doing to give back to nature.

1. Reduce, Reuses, Recycle

We indulge in the local recycling system that allows us to reduce the plastic waste. We are working with leaders in the plastic circular economy and designing for their growth. Empowr and PolyCycl recently joined our list of clients and with the power of design, we aim to get them more popularity and growth so the world can be plastic pollution-free one day.

2. Designers/ Developers to add animated add of polycycle here

Going paperless– We have converted all our internal documents like certificates, rule book, policy documents, appointment and experience letters to digital format saving on paper and ink. Thousands of trees are cut down every year for producing the paper to make posters with “Save Trees” written on them in big bold letters. Also relying on recycled papers can help you still enjoy the feel of using paper with much less deforestation. Plus, handmade papers are really cool.

3. Add a mockup of EOM certificate and Experience letter

Living sustainably– This Diwali we took yet another step towards sustainability by replacing our stationery with eco-made stationery and plantable pencils. Planting trees– At The Dreamer Designs, we like to celebrate hitting every milestone by planting a sapling. Whenever we get a new client we plant a tree to celebrate it. We believe that is the best way to celebrate, giving back to nature for everything it has done for us.

Save water– Water is really the elixir of life. We are freaks when it comes to saving water. The leftover water in our premises is used for watering the saplings. There are various things you can do to save water such as getting the leaky taps in our homes fixed, rain water harvesting and many more.
